DJ Smylee (Chanel Crosskey) brings fashion, charm and passion to all of your favorite clubs, weddings, sports and corporate events. She was born in California and now resides in North Carolina. Her passion for djing began during college. At a point in the night during a house party, she was able to DJ for the crowd and she loved the feeling of creating the energy in the room for everyone to enjoy. Deejaying became an addiction that never left even still to this day.
In her early years of deejaying, she performed with a local artist and they toured throughout the US. She has also opened for a number of gospel artists and Christian rappers for various events throughout her journey. Her experience as an entertainer is vast and it allows her to excel in any room she finds herself in. DJ Smylee has DJ’d over 200 weddings and brings her knowledge and experience to each and every client offering insight to the details from music selection, DJ placement for your venue, timeline flow, reading the room and much more. She has experience with multicultural weddings including: Indian, Bosnian, Vietnamese, South Korean, Iranian, Jewish, Haitian, Guyanese, Greek and Palestinian just to name a few.
DJ Smylee creates a true experience through an eclectic mix of various music genres, and smooth blends with mashups peppered throughout your time with her. She’s familiar with Hip-Hop, R&B, EDM, Top 40, Rock, Disco, Funk, Reggae, Country, Trap, Afrobeats, Latin, Reggaeton, House, Gospel, Christian Hip Hop and many other genres.
DJ Smylee is a RedBull DJ Turn It Up Champion, performed on stage at One Music Fest, featured on radio stations Power 98 in Charlotte, NC and House 90.1FM in Greensboro, NC. She has done extensive work with the Carolina Panthers organization for over 8 years and worked as the game DJ for the 2025 Appalachian State Football season. She’s worked with sports teams from high school all the way through professional level and wishes to continue to expand to other leagues and teams.
